This past August, the powerful and devastating impact of Hurricane Harvey was felt by so many of our friends, families, colleagues, and students. While much rebuilding and reconstruction is occurring, we know there is still abundant work yet to be done. Since 1979, the mission of TACAC has been to support and advance the work of counseling and enrollment professionals as they help all students realize their full educational potential. In the wake of this catastrophic event, TACAC members are standing strong with a deep desire to assist educational professionals so they may continue to assist and support their students.

Due to the generosity of many TACAC individuals and institutions, a Harvey Relief Fund has been established to provide necessary financial support to middle schools, high schools, organizations and programs in their recovery efforts. Applicants are encouraged to submit the TACAC Harvey Relief Fund Application by March 1, 2018. An ad hoc committee will review applications and notify all applicants of fund disbursement by April 1, 2018.

Awarded funds will range from $1000 to $5,000. If your students have been affected by Harvey and you intend to use available funding to assist them in returning to their educational endeavors, we invite you to submit this application. If you know of a friend or colleague who has been impacted, we invite you to forward this message along to them.

Thank you and we look forward to assisting as many educational professionals as possible so they may continue to advance their educational mission. For questions about the fund or process, please contact Justin Doty at
