Introducing our new TACAC Executive Assistant!

You may have heard that we have a new Executive Assistant at TACAC. We wanted to take a minute to introduce Mosadi Porter and let the membership get to know her.

Mosadi is no stranger to higher education having worked for Sam Houston State University, Ohio University, and Texas A&M University and Lone Star College. She has worked within Student Activities, Multicultural Services, Retention, Honors & Scholarships, Financial Aid and Admissions.

Higher education became a calling for Mosadi while in college. “I was a first generation college student who had no idea how to ‘do college’,” said Mosadi. She was lucky to have several people at Texas A&M who took her under their wing to guide her through the processes. “I was also involved in several organizations while in college and loved the idea of being able to do that for a living.”

Mosadi has a Bachelors in Speech Communication and a Masters in Student Affairs Administration in Higher Education from Texas A&M. She later earned her Doctorate in Administration and Supervision with a focus on Higher Education from the University of Houston. Outside of work, Mosadi enjoys spending time with her kids goofing off, volunteering especially with events and organizations that focus on women, and writing. In fact, Mosadi will be a published author by the end of this year!

When asked what she was most excited about for this new school year, Mosadi said, “Learning all the new things that comes with being Executive Assistant. I know that sounds weird but I am a person who is excited by problem solving and reorganizing. Now if I could just get my house organized…”

Be sure to stop and say hello if you see her at upcoming events!
