Welcome back to the TACAC blog and thanks for taking the time to stop by. We have some great posts that will be coming your way this year.
This year we invite YOU to be a part of the blog! I know what you’re thinking, you don’t have time to write a blog post in between everything else on your to-do list. But being a part of the blog couldn’t be easier!
Each month we will have a specific hashtag that you can use to tag your recruiting pictures on social media. Or you can choose to use our generic one, #tacactuesday. We will share these “Stories from the Road” each month.
August’s hashtag is #herewego2017. We can’t wait to see what the start of the year looks like for you!
And without further a do, let’s meet this year’s Blog Team:
Brittnie Curtis began her professional journey in college as an intern for Texas State University’s Marketing department during her senior year in college. After graduating with her B.S in Public Relations in 2015, she immediately joined Texas State’s Undergraduate Admissions Team as a Houston based Admissions Counselor. Through this position Brittnie found her passion in higher education and has used the past two years to expand on her career and personal goals. As a native Houstonian, she has also enjoyed being able to expose students in her hometown to her alma mater. In her past time, Brittnie enjoys exploring all wonders Houston has to offer and spending time with her family and friends.
Stephanie Funderburg, a graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University, worked for The Houston Zoo prior to finding her path to higher education. She now works for San Jacinto College as a Recruiter, managing the K - 8 Outreach and TACRAO schedule. Stephanie also spends much of her time running after her 2 year old son, Ryan. When she has a spare minute, Stephanie enjoys reading or baking and hopes to someday travel to England.
Eliza Macdonald is one of the Associate Directors of Recruitment and Retention at SMU’s Lyle School of engineering. Eliza has been a member of TACAC for about two and a half years after participating in Camp College at SMU in 2015. Previously, Eliza was an admission counselor for SMU’s Undergraduate Admission office, and has been a part of the communications committee and camp college board for two years. Now, serving as Associate Director, Eliza looks forward to continuing to strengthen her involvement with TACAC and better serve students across campus and the state.
