What is Fellows?

With the TACRAO season in full swing, you may have missed the email announcing that Fellows Applications opened. But not all of you may know about this program and how it impacts members each year.

The Fellows Program is sponsored by the Inclusion, Access and Success committee and is designed to help admission professionals attend professional development events they may not be able to attend due to finances.

Fellows is available for TACAC’s Middle Management Institute (MMI), Admission and College Counseling Institute (ACCI), and the Annual Conference.

All three take finances into consideration when looking at the applicants. Working in areas with students from under-represented populations and in a setting adversely affected by budget cuts or other limitations are also considerations for those applying for ACCI and Conference Fellows. Professionals aspiring to move into management roles or currently serving in such a role should consider MMI Fellows

So what do you receive if you are chosen as a Fellow?

Conference Fellows receive a complimentary one year individual TACAC membership, complimentary conference registration fee, and shared conference hotel accommodations (along with another grant recipient through the Fellows program).

ACCI Fellows receive a complimentary one year individual TACAC membership and complimentary ACCI residential registration fee. No accommodations are included as ACCI Fellows are required to stay on-campus at the host institution.

MMI Fellows receive complimentary one year individual TACAC membership, complimentary conference registration fee, and shared conference hotel accommodations for two nights (with another grant recipient through the Fellows Program).

How do you apply for Fellows?

2018 MMI Fellows Application is currently open and will be due THIS FRIDAY, December 1, 2017 with a letter of support.
