Executive Board

- TACAC President-Elect - Single-slated candidate. Position alternates between university and high school counselor each year. Will become President the following year. Primary duties include but not limited to chairing Conference Planning Committee, serving on and attending all meetings of the Executive Officers and Executive Board, assisting the President with duties as deemed appropriate, serving as a liaison to standing committees, and identifying association members who might be appropriate selections for committee chairpersons. Serves a one-year term.
- NACAC Assembly Delegate - (1 Post-Secondary representative) - Primary responsibilities include considering the views of TACAC members to inform a decision to vote on issues that impact the college counseling profession at the national conference. Serve on the Executive Board and on a standing committee. Serves a three-year term.

Founders' Award - Established in 1986 by the Executive Board, the Founders' Award recognizes members whose contributions to the Association and the profession are "above and beyond the call of duty"; and exemplary of exceptional talent and devotion to students.

Honorary Lifetime Members - Enacted in 1987, the status of Honorary Lifetime Membership was established by the Executive Board to recognize inspired leadership and extraordinary service to students in the college admission process.

Lynn Caldwell Slaughter Mentorship Award - Established by the Executive Board in 2018 in honor of Lynn Slaughter’s contributions to TACAC through the mentoring of fellow professionals, this award is given to TACAC Members in recognition of outstanding commitment to the mentoring and development of TACAC members.

Rising Star Award - This award, created by the Executive Board in 2000, honors individuals who have up to five years' experience within TACAC and who have outstanding service to the association.

The William W Fleming Award for Counseling Excellence - Recognizes a TACAC member who has achieved unquestioned excellence in counseling young people in the transition from high school to college for at least 10 years.

The Friends of TACAC Award - Honors individuals or organizations who make significant contributions to TACAC or our mission. These awards could be used to recognize non-members or associate non-voting members for their donated services, monetary contributions, legislative support or other contributions which foster the growth of TACAC.
